Honda、米ドル建てグリーンボンド（無担保普通社債）の発行を決定

環境への取り組みを加速

東京, 2022年03月04日 - (JCN Newswire) - Hondaは、「環境負荷ゼロ社会」の実現に向けた取り組みの中で、資金使途を環境事業※1に限定する米ドル建てグリーンボンドを、総額27.5億米ドル発行することを決定しました。グリーンボンドの発行は、当社として初めてとなります。

Hondaは1948年の創業以来、「人や社会の役に立ちたい」「人々の生活の可能性を拡げたい」という想いを原点に、企業活動を行っています。今後、社会が変化していく中、Hondaは、提供していくべき価値を、「地球環境への負荷をなくすこと」「尊い命を守る安全を達成すること」の2つと考え、「環境」と「安全」に徹底的に取り組んでいます。「環境」においては、2050年に、Hondaが関わるすべての製品と企業活動を通じて、カーボンニュートラル（二酸化炭素排出量、実質ゼロ）を目指しています。

今回のグリーンボンドで調達する資金を、EVやFCVといったゼロエミッション車の開発等に充当することで、「環境負荷ゼロ社会」の実現に向けた取り組みをさらに加速させていきます。
