NECなど、南紀白浜空港においてローカル5Gを活用した実証実験を開始

MR技術や複数ロボット協調制御技術により空港の課題解決を目指す

東京, 2022年03月14日 - (JCN Newswire) - 株式会社南紀白浜エアポート(以下南紀白浜エアポート、注1)、日本電気株式会社(以下 NEC、注2)、THK株式会社(以下 THK、注3)、株式会社オリエンタルコンサルタンツ(以下　オリエンタルコンサルタンツ、注4)は、南紀白浜空港(和歌山県)において、ローカル5Gをはじめとしたテクノロジーを活用して課題解決を目指す新たなサービスの開発を目的とした実証実験を実施します。本実証実験には、日本マイクロソフト株式会社(以下日本マイクロソフト、注5)と凸版印刷株式会社(以下凸版印刷、注6)が協力します。

今回、南紀白浜エアポート、NEC、THK、オリエンタルコンサルタンツと日本マイクロソフト、凸版印刷の6社は、南紀白浜空港にローカル5Gのネットワーク環境を新たに構築し、Mixed Reality(複合現実、以下 MR)を実現するMicrosoft HoloLens 2(以下 HoloLens 2、注7)を利用した空港職員向けのスマートメンテナンスサービスや、複数ロボットを空港内エリアで協調制御させて来訪者を目的地まで案内するサービス、MR空間でペイントしたオリジナル飛行機の着陸見学体験サービスの実証を本日から順次開始します。
