三菱電機、スウェーデン昇降機事業会社Motum社を買収

欧州における昇降機事業を強化

東京, 2022年04月07日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱電機株式会社は、主にスウェーデンにおいて昇降機事業を展開するMotum（モートム）社（本社：スウェーデン・ストックホルム市）の全株式を取得する株式譲渡契約を3月23日に締結しましたのでお知らせします。

株式取得の狙い

当社は、2025年度を目標とした中期経営計画において、ビルシステム事業を重点成長事業の一つと定め、海外昇降機事業の拡大に取り組んでいます。中でも、昇降機の成熟市場である欧州での事業拡大を重点課題と位置付けており、老朽化した昇降機の増加や環境意識の高まりなどから、同地域において需要拡大が見込まれる保守・リニューアル事業の強化が急務です。

Motum社は、2013年にスウェーデンの昇降機事業会社3社が統合して発足しました。昇降機の新設販売だけでなく2万台を超える保守契約台数を有しており、各種メーカー製品に対応したマルチブランドの保守を担う独立系の昇降機事業会社としては、北欧地域で最大の会社です。また、リニューアルについてもマルチブランドでの事業を行っており、スウェーデン国内トップクラスのシェアを誇るなど、優れた技術力とノウハウを保有しています。

当社は、今般の株式取得により、スウェーデンをはじめとする欧州域内での昇降機保守・リニューアルを軸とした事業経営基盤の強化を図るとともに、Motum社の優れた運営ノウハウを欧州域外の当社昇降機事業でも活用していきます。将来的には、昇降機と当社ビル関連製品・サービスとの連携を進めることで、欧州におけるビルソリューション事業の強化を図ります。
