NEC、DX推進に貢献するメインフレームACOS-4新モデル「i-PX AKATSUKI/A100シリーズ」を発売
性能・機能を大幅に向上した独自プロセッサ「NOAH-7」搭載
東京, 2022年06月30日 - (JCN Newswire) - NECは、企業・団体のDX推進に貢献するメインフレームとして、処理性能や信頼性などを強化したACOS-4新モデル「i-PX AKATSUKI/A100シリーズ」を製品化し、本日より販売開始します。
本製品は、ビジネスを進化させ、「新たな夜明け」をもたらすという意味を込め、「i-PX AKATSUKI/A100シリーズ」(AKATSUKI=暁)と命名し、増大するデータの管理やその処理を円滑に行えるよう、NECが新たに開発した独自プロセッサ「NOAH-7」(“NEC One chip ACOS Hardware engine - 7th generation”の略。以降「NOAH-7」)を搭載しました。また、システムのさらなる安定動作に向けて、障害発生率の低減や連続稼働性を向上しました。さらに、省スペース化や省電力化とともに、オープン系システムとのシームレスな連携により利便性や、セキュリティ強化による安全性も向上しました。
1974年に誕生したメインフレームACOS-4は、これまでお客様とともに進化してきました。NECでは、メインフレーム開発で培ってきた技術を磨き、お客様が長年にわたり改善を重ねてきたアプリケーションや蓄積してきたデータといった優良なIT資産を守りながら、さらなる発展を目指しています。
