TOYOTA、新型「クラウン」を世界初公開

第1弾として新型クラウン（クロスオーバー）を2022年秋頃に発売

豊田, 2022年07月15日 - (JCN Newswire) - TOYOTAは、新型「クラウン」を世界初公開し、その第1弾としてクラウン（クロスオーバー）を本年秋頃に発売＊1します。

クラウンは、トヨタ独自の国産技術で作り上げた初の量産型乗用車として1955年に誕生しました。戦後間もない時代に、初の独自開発で苦難を重ね高級車を作り上げた「革新と挑戦」のDNAは、その後67年に渡り歴代クラウンに受け継がれ、常に時代の一歩先を行く新しい価値を追求し、多くのお客様にご愛用いただいてきました。しかし、時代の変化はそれ以上のスピードで進み、多様化するお客様のニーズに対して十分お応えできなくなり、フラッグシップとしての存在感が希薄になっていきました。

今回、開発チームは、新しいクラウンの開発にあたり、「クラウンとは何か」を徹底的に見つめ直し、「これからの時代のクラウンらしさ」を追求した結果、4つの全く新しいクラウンを作り出しました。セダンとSUVを融合させた新しいスタイルの「クロスオーバー」に加えて、エモーショナルな雰囲気を持ち、運転しやすいパッケージとともにスポーティな走りをお楽しみいただける「スポーツ」、新たなフォーマル表現とともにショーファーニーズにも応える「セダン」、大人の雰囲気で余裕のある走りを持つ機能的なSUV「エステート」をラインアップし、今後グローバルに約40の国・地域に順次展開していきます。
