エーザイ、イスラエルの医薬品販売子会社が事業活動を開始

東京, 2023年01月19日 - (JCN Newswire) - エーザイ株式会社（本社：東京都、代表執行役CEO：内藤晴夫）は、このたび、イスラエルのテルアビブ市に設立した医薬品販売会社「Eisai Israel Ltd.」（以下、エーザイ・イスラエル）が本格稼働し、事業活動を開始したことをお知らせします。エーザイ・イスラエルは、当社の欧州統括会社Eisai Europe Ltd.（所在地：英国、以下　エーザイ・ヨーロッパ）の100%子会社となります。

イスラエルの2021年の医薬品市場は53億米ドルとなっています。2018年から2021年までのイスラエル医薬品市場の年平均成長率は+8.56%であり、新薬の普及率も高く、今後も安定した成長が期待されています。

当社は、イスラエルにおいて2011年にエーザイ・ヨーロッパが現地代理店を通して当社製品の販売促進ビジネスを開始し、主に「レンビマ(R)」、「ハラヴェン(R)」、「フィコンパ(R)」と「イノベロン(R)」などを販売してきました。エーザイ・イスラエルは2021年8月に設立され、本年1月に当社製品の製造販売承認を現地代理店から継承し、自社販売を開始しました。その他のグローバル製品についても今後自社で発売していく予定です。

当社は、エーザイ・イスラエルの本格稼働を機に、イスラエルにおける自社医薬品販売体制を整備することで、革新的な新薬をイスラエルのより多くの患者様にできるだけ早くお届けし、患者様とそのご家族のベネフィット向上に貢献してまいります。
