Japan International Aerospace Exhibition 2016 (JA2016) Now Available - Advance registration, ticket sales and seminar registration

TOKYO, Sep 08, 2016 - (ACN Newswire) - The Society of Japanese Aerospace Companies (Chairman: Yasuyuki Yoshinaga, President & CEO of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd.) and Tokyo Big Sight Inc. (President & CEO: Yutaka Takehana) are proud to announce the commencement of advance registration, admission ticket sales, and advance registration for seminars at the Japan International Aerospace Exhibition 2016 (JA2016), to be held over four days from Wednesday 12th to Saturday 15th October, 2016, at Tokyo Big Sight (3-11-1 Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo).

(1) Commencement of advance registration and admission ticket sales

Starting from Thursday September 1, 2016, advance registration is available via the official website for the three trade days of JA2016 (Wednesday October 12 to Friday October 14). Those who have received a formal invitation should have their invitations ready, while those who do not have an invitation should register and make payment by credit card via the official web site (2,000 yen, including tax). In addition, admission tickets for the trade & public day on Saturday October 15 are also available for sale. Please confirm details via the official website.

(2) Seminar program

In addition to keynote speech and special speech, JA2016 is proud to host various industry professional seminars and joint seminars. JA2016 has invited more than 50 leading figures from Japanese and overseas companies, organizations, and agencies to present seminars, of which 20 sessions will be offered. Advance registration for seminars will be accepted starting Thursday September 1.

The keynote speech and special speech to be presented on the first day of JA2016 (Wednesday October 12) will touch on challenges and new directions in light of the launch of the Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency (ATLA) a year ago by ATLA, including a presentation by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries on the development of the MRJ - the first Japanese-manufactured passenger airliner in half a century. Six such sessions will be presented.

In addition, through its industry professional seminars conducted from Thursday October 13 to Friday October 14, JA2016 has developed a program aimed at experts involved in the aerospace and defense industries. These seminars will touch on technology and expectations of Japan in civil aviation, industrial application of satellites and perspectives on the utilization of space, initiatives and challenges for the aircraft industry and comprehensive aerospace development, as well as defense seminars and much more.

An extensive program of joint seminars will also be available, including an aerospace industry cluster forum, the "Sky Day, Space Day" memorial lecture, and symposiums presented by JAXA and University of Tokyo's Institute of Industrial Science, among others.
