KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 22, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - Successful commissioning and start-up is the heart of any successful investment project. However, commissioning and start-up is not an effortless achievement. It takes meticulous project coordination, precise contracting strategies, backed with an experienced team equipped to deal with various critical details that need to be promptly addressed to ensure that a plant is commissioned and started-up properly and safely.

Marcus Evans, one of the world's largest conference organiser, has announced that the 5th Annual Plant Commissioning & Start Up conference will be held from 27th to 29th February, 2012 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This conference will not only focus on the commissioning process as a whole, but will also look at how commissioning experts fit in at various stages of the project life-cycle.

Marcus Evan's 5th Annual Plant Commissioning & Start Up conference will discuss key topics such as recognising the ground rules when developing commissioning strategy; categorising needs and objective while materialising contract with vendors and suppliers; forming the ideal commissioning team for projects; securing pre-commissioning tasks and activities to mitigate potential commissioning and start-up failures; prioritising commissioning activities by conducting and documenting risk assessments across all activities; and perfecting various tests on the automation process and equipment at the commissioning stage.

This conference will also feature a post-conference workshop on Plant commissioning and start-up strategy, methods of application, techniques and benchmarking systems which is facilitated by Phil Stoor who is the Former Sr. Project Manager in Brunner Mond, United Kingdom.

Keynote speakers at the conference include various industry experts from British Gas United Kingdom, Sasol Technology South Africa, Chevron Singapore, BlueScope Steel Indonesia and PURAC Thailand.
