Vietnam's Number One Trade Event for Food & Hospitality Will Return in 2015
Food&HotelVietnam2015 will bring an invaluable platform for F&B industry sourcing, networking and knowledge gathering
HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM, Oct 01, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - Vietnam's leading biennial international food and hospitality trade show, Food&HotelVietnam, will return from 21 - 23 April 2015. The event will create the largest sourcing ground in Vietnam and Indochina for food and drink, hotel, restaurant, bakery and food service equipment, suppliers and services.
Organised by Singapore Exhibition Services and local organiser VCCI Exhibition Service, the event expects to see more than 450 exhibiting companies from 35 countries and regions gather at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) to showcase the latest products and services from the food and hospitality industries.
Into its 8th edition, Food&HotelVietnam2015 will be back with a bigger international presence, making up 75 per cent of the show floor. Currently, five group pavilions from its 2013 edition, representing Australia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and USA, have confirmed their participation for 2015. Food&HotelVietnam2015 will also welcome new international group pavilions from Spain and Poland. With an expected larger exhibitor numbers, industry professionals can expect to source from a much wider range of food and beverage products and service equipment from all over the world.
Prominent exhibitors at the 2013 edition who will be returning in 2015 include BT International, New Viet Dairy, Simplex and Sunshine Equipment among others.
A healthy industry outlook
The future for Vietnam's food and hotel equipment, suppliers and services appears to be bright, due to the fast-growing demand from local food and hotel sectors. According to Vietnam's General Statistics Office (GSO), sales of accommodation and restaurant services witnessed a year-on-year increase of 12.8 per cent to reach US$9.62 billion in 2014. By January 2015, Vietnam's market also will be completely open to foreign retailers under WTO obligations. In addition, import duties for more than 10,000 tariff lines will be reduced to zero under the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement.
With the aim to support the food and hotel industry in Vietnam and Indochina, Food&HotelVietnam2015 will be an invaluable platform for international and local companies to gain visibility in these markets, showcase their products to trade visitors and network with potential business partners.
"Companies with a keen interest to gain a slice of this ever-growing market will be able to, at Food&HotelVietnam, showcase their products and services to a concentrated gathering of buyers and decision makers from the Vietnam and Indochina markets, as well as find suitable trade partners to distribute their products and services in the region. The event creates a conducive business networking platform where exhibitors can meet and form lasting and meaningful relationships with industry professionals in the region," affirms Ms. Ting Siew Mui, Project Director of Lifestyle Events at Singapore Exhibition Services, organiser of Food&HotelVietnam2015.
Infusing the exhibition with exciting competitions
The Vietnam Barista Competition will be back for its fourth edition at Food&HotelVietnam2015, and continues to be the premiere platform for local baristas to showcase their expertise and creativity and fight for the title of Vietnam's top barista.
Organised by the Saigon Professional Chefs Guild, the Vietnam Culinary Challenge has been recognised by Vietnam's culinary community as an important arena for chefs to demonstrate their culinary skills and techniques. Next year's theme will focus on food from Indochina and is expected to attract talented chefs from Vietnam and around the region.
"We are once again pleased to be associated with this important regional event and look forward to receiving individuals and teams for the Vietnam Culinary Challenge to be held as always, alongside Food&HotelVietnam. For the coming competition we plan to introduce new classes, with details to be announced soon. We hope to welcome regional competitors for this coming contest in our effort to expand the stature of the event, and to create a vibrant culinary marketplace not only for Vietnam, but the Indochina region," says Mr. Norbert Ehrbar from Saigon Professional Chefs Guild.
