Ciber Managed Services Expands into Australian Market

Greenwood Village, Co., Mar 20, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - Ciber(R), a global IT consulting company, is bringing its Managed Services offering to the Australian marketplace. Already, Ciber Managed Services are a growing part of the company's solutions in North America and Europe. Now, Ciber clients in Australia will be able to hand off IT implementation, maintenance and support on critical applications necessary to keep the modern enterprise running.

"After we implement ERP systems from leading providers like SAP and Oracle, we're increasingly seeing clients ask for ongoing support and maintenance," said Michael Schmidt, director, Ciber Managed Services. "Clients recognize that Ciber's Managed Services team can help them get the most from the ERP solutions they've chosen. At the same time, Managed Services help clients run their ERP applications with predictable operations expense, as well as reduced demand for infrastructure and often hard-to-find staff."

Ciber develops each Managed Services engagement hand-in-hand with the client to provide tailored delivery models with the right mix of offshore and onshore service delivery for optimal pricing. Ciber Managed Services are offered along three fundamental areas of emphasis: Application Management, Infrastructure Management and Service Desk Solutions.

Based on service-level agreements, the Application Management offering can span the full application lifecycle, including development and maintenance. Ciber's Infrastructure Management provides industrial-grade, highly compliant, ITIL-based management of the full range of IT infrastructure in virtualized, cloud or custom environments. Through Ciber Service Desk Solutions, clients gain global help desk support for both IT and end-user needs that incorporate technology call-center best practices, multi-language agents and follow-the-sun support from Ciber delivery centers in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

"Ciber Managed Services clients are seeing cost reductions of 20 percent or more, and those savings become evident quickly, usually within six months," said Jonathan Bucktin, managing director of Ciber in Australia. "Last year, 45 percent of Australian employers who answered a ManpowerGroup survey* said they were having trouble finding skilled staff, and IT staff was number six on the list of hard-to-fill roles. We think this is a perfect time for Ciber Managed Services to enter the Australian market and help employers meet their IT needs."
